Terms & Conditions

(Important: by ordering you agree to these Terms & Conditions)

  • Adults & ducklings are farm pick up only. We currently do not ship adults or ducklings.

  • Hatching eggs & shipping- hatching eggs can be picked up at the farm or shipped via Canada Post or Purolator across Canada. We do NOT ship to any other country. The cost of shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. We do our best to find the most cost effective shipping method. All hatching eggs are handled with great care on the farm, properly stored, and packaged extremely well for shipping. Fertility tests are done frequently to ensure ultimate viability. Once the hatching eggs leave the farm, Dusky Feathers Waterfowl is no longer liable for any issues or problems regarding your eggs. We are not liable for any issues or problems that may arise regarding irregularities or mishandling by Canada Post or Purolator. Due to innumerable issues beyond our control during the shipping process, we do not guarantee hatching eggs. Be aware that hatching eggs are fragile and therefore inherently risky to ship.

  • Packaging Fee- There is a $0.49/egg packaging fee. This will help cover the cost of materials such as bubble wrap, boxes, and labeling.

  • Pre Orders of hatching eggs-hatching egg pre orders will be listed on the website. Every effort will be made to keep the listings as up to date as possible. You will be able to choose your preferred ship day, breed/color of duck, and how many eggs you are wanting to reserve. To reserve hatching eggs you must pay a small deposit. The eggs will NOT be considered reserved until the deposit is paid. If you decide to cancel your hatching egg order OR you miss your shipment date due to lack of payment before the date and time specified, the deposit is non-refundable. In the event that we are unable to fill your hatching egg order for the week the deposit was placed, the full amount of the deposit will be refunded.

  • Duckling WAIT list- Currently there is NO pre ordering available for ducklings. Any ducklings that may be available will be posted on the “For Sale!!” tab. Check this page for availability.

  • Pricing- we reserve the right to change pricing at any time. If prices are changed after invoicing but before your order is picked up/shipped, invoiced prices will be valid.

  • When your order is ready- Hatching eggs are shipped across Canada. We do NOT currently ship hatching eggs to any other country. Ducklings and adults are farm pick up only. We do NOT currently ship ducklings or adults. Hatching eggs will be shipped on the dates listed on the website. In the event of a holiday, hatching eggs will be shipped the day after. Due to the sometimes unpredictable nature of farming, the pick-up date of ducklings and adults is approximate. We will update you if there is major rescheduling. We will contact you via email, text or phone in the week before your order is ready to ship or pick-up. We require a response within 48 hours to finalize transactions. Shipping days are Mondays (or Tuesdays if Monday was a holiday) to give the package the best possible chance of arriving on time and in good condition. No hatching egg order will be shipped without full payment of product and shipping. If you are unable to pick-up your live bird order within 3 days of the set pick-up date, there is a $1 charge per bird per 24 hours. We will consider your live bird order abandoned after 7 days in which case you forfeit your deposit and the birds.

  • Once the birds are in your care, they are your responsibility- we are not liable for any health issues or disease that may occur once the birds have left our care. We go to great lengths to ensure our birds are healthy and well cared for to give them the best possible chance to thrive.

Thank you for understanding!!
